Warwick Street Opening Party

I can’t believe that we’ve now been open in Warwick Street for just over a month – where has the time gone!

We spent a manic Christmas painting, cleaning and getting the shop ready in Warwick St for the big move from Lindfield.  I’d been there for the last two years and with such lovely people and such a gorgeous village I’m going to miss it, but it feels fantastic to be in Worthing.

We’ve now lived in Worthing for 14 years.  When we first moved here we didn’t know anyone at all.  Since having our two boys we’ve now met so many people through baby and toddler groups and school and have discovered what a fantastic place it is to bring up our children.  We wouldn’t want to live anywhere else now and it feels amazing to have my business in Worthing – and not just because I no longer have to battle with the traffic on the A27!

We were delighted to welcome Worthing Mayor Sean McDonald to our opening party on Sunday 29th January and it was brilliant to see so many of our friends and family helping us to celebrate. We had a fantastic afternoon, helped of course by the bubbles and the pizza from our neighbours Ford Di Latte!

I’m passionate about the products we sell which are chosen with quality and design in mind. Something a little bit special and different that can’t be found on every High Street. Many of the toys are wooden – Le Toy Van, Janod and Djeco, to name but a few of our favourites, and we stock Frugi, Kite and Toby Tiger organic clothing.

We always have a play table in the shop with toys available to entertain little visitors because I remember how much hard work it was going shopping with small children –  anything we can do to help make a shopping trip a little bit easier!

Thanks to everyone who has already visited us and been so supportive.  Customer service is always a big priority for me, so if you have already visited the shop let us know what you think.  Was there something you really liked, or something you would like to see us sell? What do you think we are good at? Or not! It’s this kind of feedback that will mean that we’re successful and you’ll have a retailer that gives you want you want!

We look forward to welcoming you back to the shop and saying a big hello to all our new customers.

As well as saying a huge thank you to our friends and family for supporting us I must also say thank you to Wall Bros Carpets for doing such an amazing job with our new flooring which has totally transformed the shop. Duncan at Scott’s Signs for our fab new sign outside and Sam of Sam Pharoah photography for taking all our photographs at the opening party – you are a star!
